Simultaneously
with the early development of the personal computer, my awareness of
the need to identify and pursue career prospects began to develop
during my work in graduate school. In the workplace it became
clear that there is a significant overlap in the skill sets of music
and technology, which I wasted no time in leveraging. After
initial work with early systems such as the Kaypro and the Burroughs
B2000, I was programming dBase and Lotus 123 on PC clone
systems.
Eventually this led to network design and engineering, which is my area of expertise. My current position is Senior Network Administrator for Xerox Services, working on a long term contract for the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans. I work with a variety of technologies and hold certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, Novell and CompTIA. |
